I can't do it through copy and paste--- but there must be a way. Others seem to be able to do it. (Askedon the off chance that someone might answer).

this is the way to add images.. when you are going to write journal, see the right side, theres 'add media'. and there are 'sta.sh', deviantart, and 'emoticons', click 'deviantart'. choose the image that you want to put. tadaaa! now you a picture in your journal. finish :D

Having had this question myself, and not having the directions work for me; further investigation was needed and this is what I found.

To use html tags, you need to be in [html edit mode], it cannot be done in [Rich Txt Mode<Default]

Just go to your Journal top bar, goto [Edit] and choose [Switch to HTML Mode], and there you will have it work.

Well, I don't know much, but if I put the thumb code in my journals it seems to work, and I don't have premium... :/

you can put free thumbnails in your journal!
there are some thumbs just for premium membership, but there are quite a lot of free ones too if you just search them up :)

I was wondering the same, then I found out you can use HTML tags to do it.

example: <img src="[link]"/>

replace the link with the link to an image.

I know this is like a year old, but I thought I'd do it anyways, just incase other people find this.
